sudo apt update
sudo apt install smokeping
sudo apt install php7.0-cgi
cd /etc/smokeping/config.d/
nano Targets

Once you open the file with nano, you will need to format the syntax in a way smokeping understands. Here is an example configuration, Targets-example, that can get you started. After that, start the service

sudo systemctl start smokeping

Navigate to the site using your web browser of choice:

https://domain.com/cgi-bin/smokeping.cgi
