This is a general openwrt wiki page, for flashing the OS onto routers and/or common issues/configurations for its use. The first main error I get is that when I upgrade, I get a language and style save page error because the new configuration file that comes in is missing the line/option below.

nano /etc/config/luci

Check the option Bootstrap part - it is likely missing and/or not complete.

config internal themes
        option Bootstrap '/luci-static/bootstrap'
