This tutorial is for Debian users who want to set up Incus w/ a web-based management GUI. I used Debian's main incus package and the Zably repository for the fork of the Canonical web GUI. The web gui, by extension including any reverse proxy you build for it, has no built-in auth mechanism. This last point means that the general public will have access to the default profile, building containers, etc., unless other steps are taken. I chose to use apache's built in <Location> functionality, which restricts access to designated IPs. Below, I will step you through what I did. Before you begin, however, make sure you have a basic VM/VPS w/ hardened LAMP (or equivalent) setup, and if not, head to Apache Survival first.
